FactoryStudio does not include a native communication driver for PROFINET.
The recommended approach is to import the GSD/GSDML files into your PLC’s engineering software, configure the PROFINET network at the PLC level, and then establish communication between FactoryStudio and the PLC using a standard protocol such as OPC UA or Modbus.
This architecture allows FactoryStudio to access all data from your PROFINET devices through the PLC, ensuring full compatibility and reliable communication without requiring a native PROFINET driver.
